|Purpose:||This Unit Standard is intended for managers in all economic sectors. These managers would typically be second level managers such as heads of department, section heads or divisional heads, who may have more than one team reporting to them. |
The qualifying learner is capable of:
1.) Selecting a work-based project for a unit.
2.) Scoping a work-based project for a unit.
3.) Developing a project plan.
4.) Developing tools to measure key performance parameters.
5.) Implementing the plan and evaluate project progress.

Communication at NQF Level 4.
Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 4.
Computer Literacy at NQF Level 4.
|Course Objectives:||1.) Identify and solve problems in considering project alternatives and selecting the preferred option. |
2.) Work effectively with others when managing the implementation of a project plan.
3.) Organise and manage oneself and one's activities in managing the members of the project team.
4.) Collect, evaluate, organise and critically evaluate information to develop a clear and workable project plan.
5.) Communicate effectively with individuals and teams when delegating tasks and responsibilities.
