|Purpose:||This Unit Standard provides an understanding of the core and support functions of an organisation. This Unit Standard is intended for junior managers of organisations. |
The qualifying learner is capable of:
1.) Explaining the various core functions of an organisation.
2.) Explaining the support functions of an organisation.
3.) Explaining the role of a selected work unit in an organisation, in relation to the core business.
4.) Investigating and explaining the difference between line and support functions in an organisation.
|Entry Requirements:||Learners should be competent in Communication and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 2.|
|Course Objectives:||1.) Learners are able to collect, organise and evaluate information when identifying and explaining the line and support functions in an organisation. |
2.) Learners are able to demonstrate an understanding of the world as a set of related systems by identifying the work performed in own work unit in relation to the work of the rest of the organisation.
